Paid Media Specialist

Marion Relationship Marketing is an emerging leader in the digital marketing space, helping small businesses maximize the marketing potential of the web and drive more customers through comprehensive strategies tailored to their customer’s emotional buying journey.

The Paid Media Specialist owns the development, management, and optimization of all Marion’s client search, social, display, and video advertising initiatives. They will be responsible for driving provable results that grow business for our clients, as well as collaborating in process creation for the long-term success of advertising operations.

Marion succeeds through delivering the highest level, personalized service experience and the Paid Media Specialist is pivotal to that goal. By going above and beyond to proactively solve our customer’s needs, the Ad Specialist ensures Marion’s future success.

 

Core Areas of Focus 

Google Advertising

  • High level experience building, managing and optimizing Google Ad Platform accounts, including YouTube and Display. 
  • Ability to manage or learn other related advertising platforms, such as Microsoft Ads & Programmatic Display 
  • Ability to tailor campaign strategy to individual campaign goals   
  • Monitoring and optimization of ongoing strategy, collaborating with team members for continuous improvement.

Social Media Advertising

  • High level experience building, managing and optimizing Facebook Ad accounts.
  • Ability to manage or learn other related advertising platforms, such as Pinterest & NextDoor.
  • Collaboration with team members on creative development central to effective ad campaigns.
  • Monitoring and optimization of ongoing strategy, collaborating with team members for continuous improvement.

Quality Control

  • Account development and optimization fits a standard structure rooted in sound fundamental principles.
  • Collaboration with ownership on process documentation for campaign creation, monitoring, and analysis.
  • High level of precision and attention to detail.
  • Innovative problem-solving without sacrificing quality.

Marketing Strategy & Analysis

  • Understanding of human buying behavior and ability to apply that to strategy development for clients across many industries.
  • Knowledge of how to create convincing written & visual marketing copy that appeals to a target audience and their needs.
  • Knowledge of different marketing mediums, their pros and cons, and where they sit in the customer buying journey.
  • Maintains awareness of new tools and developments in marketing space.

Technical Skills 

Must Haves:

  • 1-2 years Google Ads platform experience
    • Experience with all campaign types
    • Building, managing, and optimizing campaigns alone
  • Google Ads Editor experience
  • Facebook Ads Platform experience
  • Experience running 30+ accounts for local, service-based businesses across multiple industries.
  • Google Analytics and Tag Manager Experience

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in other Ad Platforms
    • NextDoor, Microsoft, Pinterest, Reddit, Quora
  • Programmatic Display experience
  • Visual Design Fluency, such as Canva
  • WordPress Administrative Familiarity 
  • CallRail experience

 

Position Details 

  • Compensation starts at $55,000 – $65,000 but is negotiable based on workload and breadth of potential contributions. 
  • This position is full-time.
  • This position reports directly to Owners. 
  • This is a remote position.
